LOST DEPARTMENT

A band, a record and an urge to rock. Forged in the meltingpot of
Europe's capital, Brussels, Lost Department is ready to expand their
fan base and take over stages all over the globe.
The band plays hardrock, but lovingly mixes in elements of metal, hardcore, (progressive) rock and even pop music. This six piece started out for the love of music, not just trying to fit in and copy their peers, but, by now, has risen to it's own level. Delivering with input of 6 different music aficionados, hard can only exist if there were to be delicacy too.
Although still looking for their own trademark, the band recorded a demo, an EP, has a rather large concert roster and played several DIY mini-tours and concerts abroad (they were f.e. invited by the Etnies Skatecontest in Slovakia, and closed Festivalek in the Czech Republic), and not to forget, a video clip for "Grudge". Several line-up changes formed a setback for the band -- bandmembers migrating to Aborted, Emeth and Unleash the Fury -- but the core remained the same.
Now, stronger than ever, Lost Department has teamed up with producer Ace Zec and Alan Douches (mastering) to record "Things of Flesh and Blood" their first full blown record. Also featured on this album are guest vocalist Franky DSVD (ChannelZero, Skitsoy) and keyboard player Lennart Van Praet. The result is an organic and diverse overview of the bands personal influences: hard'n'heavy enriched by a catchy sing-a-long energy.
Guys & girls who like Coheed and Cambria, Machine Head, Thrice, Killswitch Engage, Avenged Sevenfold, Lost Prophets, Metallica, Atreyu, Mastodon, Alexisonfire tend to like them too.
