RESISTANCE

Resistance, Belgian extreme metal outfit has been setting the tracks for world domination since July 2003, when the band was founded by Ben (bass). Intentionally the band started out as a metal influenced straight forward hardcore band but after several line-up changes and with new members bringing new influences to the table the band turned more and more into the full on death metal beast it is today, with only hints left to their hardcore background.
After years of playing shows and building up their name in Belgium and France and after releasing their debut "Trauma" their, the band feels they have finally arrived at where they always where wanted to be musically.
"The new songs are definitely the best we wrote so far", comments guitarist Oli. "I know how it must sound, as every band tells this kind of shit about their new record, but this is just how we feel about it. The stuff is even more aggressive and powerfull than before, but has some really intense melodies thrown in for good measure. We didn't turn soft or anything though, the stuff is still dirty as hell. We can't change that.
It's still a pure mix of extreme metal, like death and black, and hardcore parts. Think of a mixture of bands like Kataklysm, All Shall Perish, Despised Icon, Machine Head, Heaven Shall Burn, Job For A Cowboy, even Meshuggah and you will have an idea of what to expect."
And what you can basically except from "Two Sides Of A Modern World", their newest effort and at the same time Alveran debut, which will be out on April 25th, is to feel like railroaded from the moment the record starts. This is modern day non-stop raging death metal at its best!
"Two Sides Of A Modern World" was produced by Xavier Carion (Channel Zero), mastered by Jacob Hansen and features a guest appearance on vocals by Ross (Length Of Time, Angel Crew).
For fans of Job For A Cowboy, Hatebreed, All Shall Parish, Neaera, Heaven Shall Burn & Despised Icon
