THE MODERN AGE SLAVERY
The Modern Age Slavery is the symphony of the restless ones that pierces the anxieties of the human mind. It is the need for sweat as an eternal condemnation. It is the longing to collapse exhausted and rise up again to behold the world with different eyes.

The Modern Age Slavery was formed in the spring of 2007 by ex-members from the cult hardcore ensemble Browbeat : Giovanni Berselli, Luca Cocconi, Mirco Bennati and Gregorio Ferrarese. The musicians wanted to create extreme music in the most intense way possible. In December 2007 the final member Simone "Sym" Bertozzi (Empyrios, ex-Gory Blister) joined the band to complete the line-up.

During the course of their musical careers, all five members gathered live performance experience across Europe including Italy, Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands, to name but a few, as well as recording experience with the releases of full-length albums that enjoyed worldwide distribution. Today, The Modern Age Slavery is a blend of these experiences with a solid amount of rage and energy put to use in the creation of a new sound that combines death metal with a hardcore attitude.

It was only a couple of months after their creation that the band's first demo gained unanimous critical acclaim from the international press (For example, Demo of the Month in Rock Hard GER). Napalm Records took notice and offered TMAS a worldwide recording deal.

Their debut album "Damned to Blindness" confirms that which has made The Modern Age Slavery infamous in the underground  scene by delivering a relentless Deathcore debut that takes no prisoners. The band offers no respite from grinding blast beats, merciless brutal vocals, and slaughtering double bass rapid-fire.  With one infernal track following another, they leave no room for ballads or acoustic interludes, as they end their barbaric hell ride with a cover version of Entombed's "Wolverine Blues".  While the band presents a modern-day release, they continue to pay tribute to the spirit of the scene's forerunners.

Damned to Blindness has been released December 1st 2008 in Europe and January 13th 2009 in USA by Napalm Records. It features a powerful production by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Gory Blister), as well as disturbing artwork by Dennis SibeijnJob for a Cowboy, Chimaira, Slayer, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage...), who has transformed the band's warped vision into uncompromising art. A must-have for fans of Job for a Cowboy, Decapitated, and Aborted.

The album gained some great press releases like on Kerrang (4/5), Rock Hard (7,5/10), Legacy (12/15) and Metal Hammer (7,5/10), and has been followed by an extensive live playing with supporting gigs of Origin (Relapse Records), Vomitory (Metal Blade Records) and Textures (Listenable Records).

In March 2009 the band recruited new drummer Stefano "Reynoldz" Brognoli that really pushed The Modern Age Slavery to their extreme limits. With the new lineup they're gonna start the spring - summer session of touring in support of "Damned to Blindness".

Your freedom is slavery, your belief is none.
